Become a Volunteer guide with Guided Getaway
Are you passionate about walking and eager to share your love of the great outdoors? If so, we would like to hear from you! With Guided Getaway, you’ll enjoy glorious walks, picnics, stunning countryside, and great company.
As a volunteer guide, you will partner up with a woman with sight and/or hearing loss. You will build a good working relationship with each individual and discuss how you can best support them. This will enhance their experiences but also deepen your own understanding, allowing you both to find it rewarding. We will provide free training for you to become a one-to-one Guide.

- First Aid for Outdoors (mandatory)
- The Art of Communication (3 hours)
- Basic BSL skills (2 hours)
- Guiding skills (mandatory – 5 hours)
- All about Ddeafness/blindness (4 hours)
- Volunteer Drivers (1 hour)
- Walking leader (optional) (4 hours)
